Secretary's Report for Season 2017/18 

OCA Committee meeting at Cowley CC - Thu 13th September 2018

General 

I think people were pleased that we  managed 
this time to complete this season largely by the end 
of April.

We were sad to lose the rump of the Cowley Workers Club 
in mid-season.  Owing to serious illess in some of the 
players and/or their spouses they felt unable to continue
their Div 3 schedule and decided to disband the Club.

Disputes in 2017/2018 

I am pleased to report there were few again in the season 
just ended.  Probably the major one arose in a Div 4 match between
Univ 3 and Cowley 5, when the former team were adjudged to have 
employed a dubious board order.

The final of this year's contest was won by
the Cumnor Six Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

As it has been the first season  of a new format for this event,
there have been a number of teething problems.  We should be looking 
at these issues over coming months so that matters are much clearer
next time.
